One Little Word for 2015

A few years ago I chose a word for the was Graceful.  Honestly, I didn't really 'do anything' with my word.  I picked it and then I just let it set...what good does that do?  What I didn't know then that Ali Edwards actually runs a One Little Word workshop to help you document and stay with your word for the year.  There are monthly prompts and a wonderful Facebook group for support and inspiration. I was already being called to a word when I heard about the workshop so I decided to go for it...the workshop and really getting into my word this year.  What word would draw me into a year long relationship you ask?  That word is...

done on purpose; deliberate

Great word, right?  I think so too!  It is, though, an all encompassing word which, I can see, working in my life in so many different ways.  Intentional, of course starts with my family, the time I spend with them, the things I say (and how I say them), and the things I do with them.  Intentional also works into areas of my life such as my health. I need to be intentional with my menu planning and meal preparation as well as keeping my body fit through exercise.  I also need to be more intentional in my study of God's Word.  We will start a Bible study at church next week that I'm looking forward to and from there I will be Intentional in choosing a new study.  And what about being Intentional in my interactions with others?

Intentional Words, Intentional Actions, Intentional Thoughts, Intentional Life!

Hump Daaay

Good morning!  I've got more candy bags to show you today!  These are for that famous day of the week that everyone seems to need some help getting over...Hump Daaay!  I saw these little stamps on the Jaded Blossoms website and just had to have them.
I used the same little kit as I did the other day just changed out the stamp on the front.  I think it works out just fine and I'm sure they recipient (not sure who yet) will love them too!  I actually just ordered some more candy stamps for Christmas that I hope they get out to me first thing this week so I still have time to use them...we shall see!

Today I'll be making a birthday card for a special friend so I'll see you back here soon with something other than candy bags!

Thank Whoooo...

Hello!   I'm back once again to share a little project I made yesterday. You may or may not know that I am an Origami Owl Designer. We have a great hostess program but sometimes I like to give my hosts an extra little something so while making some other fun projects (I'll show you those soon) I made these fun treat thank yous for my December hosts.

I started with the SU! Simply Created kit.  It came with the die cut tags, the red stripe sticker, the bag, and the baker's twine that closes the bag.  I just added a sentiment and owl from a The Stamps of Life kit.  In the bag is just a few Hershey's Kisses.   I hope they will like them!

Thanks for stopping by!  I'm headed into my craft room today so I hope to have more to share soon!

Winter Bright

Thank you so much to everyone that stopped by my blog yesterday for the Card Swap Hop!  I love crafting...just haven't had much time to do it recently so the card swap was perfect!

Today I want to share with you some gift card holders that I made.  I know...there are tons of tutorials for gift card holders, right?  Well, first, this isn't a tutorial and is really easy to replicate!  Check them out...

These were quickly and easily made with SU! Envelope Board.  They are 3"x4" because I wanted the little paper 'thingie' that the gift cards come on to go in the envelope too as it has a place to write the value of the card on it.  I just followed the directions on the board starting with a 6x6 piece of paper and these are the cute holders that I came up with.  The papers and the sticker elements all came from the, can you guess from yesterday?, Winter Bright Simply Scrappin' kit that I used on my step-up swap cards.  I have three nieces and one nephew so for my ease I made three pink and one blue.  Honestly, I was SO pleased with myself when they were done!

Are you making any special projects for gifts or decoration this year?  I'd love to see so feel free to link me up in the comments!

A Card Swap Hop!!

Good morning!

I'm here today with a bit of fun!
A few weeks ago, seven of us decided we would do a Christmas/Winter card swap.
It was so much fun to see the different cards come in, that we decided to take it one step
further, and do a blog hop with our swap cards!

This is just for prizes, but we hope that you are inspired by something
that you see today!

Here is my swap card:

For my card I used the snowman2build set from The Stamps of Life.  It was one of the sets for Die Hard members and I just love that it comes with several additional dies to make your snowman super fun!  For the base of the card I used Basic Step-Ups die also from The Stamps of Life...this die makes it SO easy to make step up cards and also has tons of extra pieces including all the layering pieces, again love that it makes card making so fun.  For the paper and die cut snowflakes I used an old Stampin' Up! Simply Scrappin' kit called Winter's perfect, huh?  I just thought this card would be a fun one to send to a friend this winter to let them know they are being thought of.  :)

Now, you can hop along with us, and see what the other folks created!

I do have a couple of more projects I'll be sharing over the next week so I hope you'll subscribe to my blog or come back to check it out!  Just a hint...I simple gift card holder is up next on the blog...tomorrow!

Brighter Days

I was back in my croffice (craft room+ office = Croffice!) using an old SU! set called Brighter Days for the last couple of days.  This set has reminded me that I haven't been coloring much recently because I stink at it again!  LOL!  It's okay, though, I'll be practicing more!  From Millan.Net

I put some illuminate smooch on the wings of this sweet angel as well as on the bees on the inside panel of the card.  I thought it would be fun to decorate up the inside too...and it was!
I made this card specifically for my husband's grandma...I think she will enjoy just getting something in the mail.  From Millan.Net Well, there you have it...another day, another card. I'm hoping to get back in my Croffice today or tomorrow so hopefully I'll be back soon!
